I work at home at least one day a week - what should I do to a computer room to make it the ideal environment?

Definately the ideas Brainy Bunny suggested are great. You also may want to incorporate a large desk for more work space and if you live in a cold climate you may want to purchase a small space heater so you don't have to heat the whole house.

Natural light is absolutely essential if you're going to be spending any serious time there. Also, you need a good, padded chair. I had debilitating hip pain on and off for years until I finally gave in and spent some money on a real chair. Now my pain is gone ( and I can swivel, too!).
