Ten things you can't afford to buy on ebay but would like to

Ebay items over $50,000

I am a normal human who has dreams and aspirations. On a whim I decided to find items on ebay that I desired but simply could not afford. I did some generic searches looking for items above $50,000 and was expecting to see either house or cars - imagine my surprise when the item I found were not only varied, but often very desirable!

I'm hoping that if you are reading this web page that you can actually afford some of these items - and ever more I am hoping you are feeling especially philanthropic and would like to buy the items for me as well as pay the taxes I'd owe for the gift!!! If not, at least enjoy your purchase, and send me a picture!

I note that most of these items will probably not be on eBay for long so the auction will no longer be available - so I'll come back and update frequently!

Lamborghini

Well obviously, to be able to go and visit or pick up all these items I'm going to need something a little snazzier than my Nissan Altima Coupe - what better than this 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo. Not only is it stunningly beautiful, but the bright yellow color will mean that you'll never miss it in the mall's parking lot.

This truly is a beast of a car - and it's a shame that I probabyl couldn't afford the car insurance or tires, let alone the car!

House

So I have the nice car, and I'm about to spend several hundred thousand on other cool items, so I better find somewhere to put them all. I can't fit everything into my current house, so I better find a second house.

This Grand Estate in Naples has a whopping 12,000 SQ FT to play with - and with the current bid only at $450,000 - it's a snip! This looks simply stunning and if it really does sell for $450,000 then I'm going to be kicking myself!

Ahhh hang on - just read the small print - you're actually bidding on 'half' the price - so that $450,000 bid is actually a $900,000 bid - still not bad for a mansion though!

Diamonds are a girls best friend

So I just bought a beautiful Lamborghini, and despite the wonderful yellow color my wife isn't happy! The only way I'm going to calm her down is by buying a beautiful piece of jewlery. This 6.36ct Pear Shape Diamond Engagement Anniversary Ring is absolutely stunning - not only does it have a LOT of diamonds, but it really is beautifully crafted - and at only $65,000 it's a steal!

Sail the high seas

Now that I have the house, the car and the diamonds, I need something to relax on, perhaps do a little fishing, or take a trip down the coast. Well then, how about the Carver Boats Express 440 - it's perfect; it just perfect to cruise along, spacious and just cool - you can even go hunt a shark or two if you want.

Statues

So you've got the new house, but it's kinda empty isn't it - better start buying some statues to fill it then! This Richard Macdonald's 'Trumpeter' is an amazing piece and really would look good in your new mansion. The good thing about art like this is that it retains its value so should you hit hard times in the future, you can always sell it at a profit.

Paintings

Well you've got the statue, but those walls are looking a little blank - why not buy some classic paintings to fill them - this collection of five pictures will liven up the most boring wall, and they are only $20,000 each - wow, rush out and buy them before it's too late!

Each painting is done on a paneled door and is unique -  you can mount them on your boring walls, or even use them as doors if you really want to!

How about a bust?

I'm English and proud to be so - so what better than a bust of Prince Phillip to adorn my mantelpiece! This antique bronze casting is simply stunning and shows a very young Prince Phillip circa 1940 - it's a great talking piece!

Rug

Now that you've filled the walls a little - you really need to think about those floors. How about this stunning 13X19 SIGNED HANDMADE PERSIAN NAEIN rug. This woolen rug truly is incredible - it's a piece of art as well as a beautifully made rug and will look great in the hallway of your newly purchased mansion!

A stitch in time

So you have your bids in on the Lamborghini and Mansion and there's a couple of hours to go before the end of the auction - what better way to ensure you don't miss out on winning the auction than using this 1950s Patek Philippe Geneva watch  - you can time the auction right up to the last minute.

The Bible

Well you've put bids in on all the items above and it looks like you're going to win the all - you better start praying that your accountant is going to be happy with all these purchases and finds a tax write-off here and there! What better to pray with than this 1250-AD antique holy bible.

I want to buy my own island - complete with mansion, yacht, and servants. I would sit there all day and shop on eBay!

Lovely.

p.s. While wearing my expensive jewelry!

eBay sure is going downhill lately, I am not sure if I would buy anything on eBay anymore, they are a pain in the butt to deal with.
