Star Wars Bobbleheads

In a hubpage far far away.......

I recently listed my Top Ten Movies of all time, and Star Wars proudly sits among them. The original movie set the standard for modern day science fiction, and showed the world what could be done with special effects.

When Harrison Ford appeared onscreen as Hans Solo, there was an amazing charisma to the character. He was a rogue and yet immensely lovable. He was like a modern day Rhett Butler and had the same onscreen presence that made him a perfect, albeit reluctant hero.

As the story unfolded and we were introduced to the main characters, including the loveable r2D2 and C3P0 we found ourselves identifying with them and hoping for their success. It's amazing how these characters managed to get into out hearts and stay there for a long time!

The franchise continues to grow, but for me the original characters are the best; with Yoda and Chewbacca assisting Luke and Princess Laya in their fight against Darth Vader and the evil empire, we grow to love all the characters of good, we even have a place in our hearts for the forlorn Star Troopers who seem incapable of hitting a barn from ten yards!

The movie is one of my all time favorites and trail blazed for today's modern masterpieces. It has everything you need for a classic; love, danger, fighting, action and a great plot! With some stunning special effects (for the time) the movie also was very realistic, and as a young child I had dreams of fighting storm troopers out in the depths of space. This shows the power of the movie; it had the ability to make the plot seem real and the characters alive.

It led to five more movies, a cartoon series, a multitude of video games and a whole lot of amazing merhcandise ranging from dolls, to complete Halloween outfits. I really wish I had kept the original figures I had instead of playing with them until the broke - they would be worth a lot of money now!

These bobble-heads will immortalize the characters for you; whether you put them in your car, or simply display them at home they'll be a constant reminder of how good Star Wars was!
