Star Trek (The Original Series) Bobble heads

Star Trek (The Original Series) by Gene Roddenberry is one of the influential and ground breaking TV science fiction shows of all time. It helped redefine a genre, and also tackled some very deep and taboo subjects that simply had not been discussed openly on TV.

With a mulch-racial cast and crew, a black woman in command and instances of mulch-racial kisses and other taboo subjects being raised such as terrorism, racism including a stab at solving the cold war, Roddenberry continued to court danger as the series gradually gained traction and became a cult show.

The show introduced to use some great characters, and through their abilities, idiosyncrasies and camaraderie they soon became dear to us and grew to become household names!

Captain Kirk is arguably the greatest character of all. He's a daring, hands-on, romantic sun of a gun, who is courageous and yet vastly caring. His attitude is one out of the old west, whereby he charges into combat all guns blazing and picks up the pieces afterward.

Spock is almost like Kirk's conscience. This logical Vulcan is constantly assistant Captain Kirk and helping him take the time to make the important decisions without always charging in head first! While he is supposed to be emotionless, his humor is tangible and subtle and he compliments Kirk perfectly.

Dr 'Bones' McCoy is the comic relief. He is the final part of the intrepid trio and always seems to be complaining about the adverse conditions he finds himself, but he is intensely loyal to Kirk, and despite the banter and apparent mistrust, he is very close with Spock.

And then you have Scotty – the miracle working engineer, who always has an interesting comment to make as he saves the ship from the latest disaster; while not fully part of the intrepid trio, he has his part to play and without him, the enterprise would grind to a halt!

There are many other great characters in the crew, and many superb characters amongst the enemies. The one that stands out for me is Khan – he is a super human who was banished by Kirk in the original series, but comes back for vengeance in the Wrath of Khan!

I must admit that I'm a huge Star Trek fan and have all the movies and much merchandise including some video games! I love anything Star Trek, and these bobble heads are perfect for the collector! They immortalize these amazing characters and they also Bobble! What more could a man want!
