Skyrim Walkthrough: The World-Eater's Eyrie
90I must admit that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed writing these Skyrim Walkthroughs. They are not the most conclusive guides in the world and I have not provided any maps (yet) but I hope they have been of some use.
I am a little disappointed that there weren’t more puzzles along the way, and that many of the quests were a little to easy or had no real depth, but overall I am satisfied with the main quest, especially if you’ve played the game fully by doing all the other quests first. You can run through the main quest, but you lose out on a lot of game play doing this!
As I come to the close of the game I am a little sad, but I do feel that there’s so much openness and so much I haven’t found that I can go back and restart the game and play it slower – hopefully as I do this I can update my walkthrough and add more details, and perhaps some different approaches (as I’m aiming to have a more ‘thief’ focused character).
I hope you’ve enjoyed the journey as much as I have.

Skyrim promises to be one of the top games of 2011, and will undoubtedly win many awards. With superb graphics, an open game play and a detailed plot it’s likely to take many hours to complete. It’s likely that newcomers to the game or beginner playe
Skyrim Walkthrough: The World-Eater's Eyrie
Now that you’ve learned the Dragonrend shout you should head over to Dragonreach and talk to Jarl. Tell him you are ready to set up a trap. Go outside and use your Call Dragon Shout – make sure to use it with full force. Odahviing will be summoned.
While the Whiterun guards and Jarl will help, it is quite a difficult battle – use range attacks where possible to weaken the dragon and keep an eye on your own health. After a while the dragon’s health will fully restore – now you have to try and lure him into the trap you set.
Move towards the door that you entered from and the guards will trap the dragon. Go over and speak to the dragon – agree to release him (this is done by pulling some chains on the level above.)
Note – you are getting close to the end of the game here, and you are about to embark on a portion of the quest alone, with no return. Make sure you are fully healed and equipped. You will not have any followers so if you don’t think you can beat a dragon on your own then you should wait and do some experience grinding so that you can buff up before the next part of the quest. I’d also suggest that you save the game at this point.
When you feel you are ready speak to Odahviing and you will be flown to Skuldafn. On arrival you will be attacked by Draugr and a fire dragon. Take out any archers and mages first using range attacks or by cornering them if you can – then concentrate on the warriors.
You may not need to use the Dragonrend shout at this time, but be ready just in case. Try range attacks with ice etc and if possible make sure you have defense against fire. Get ready to heal where necessary.
Move south and you’ll meet an ice dragon. You’ll probably meet more undead, but these will have a few tougher Wights and Restless with them! Tactics can vary here – I concentrated on the tougher opponents first and then killed the rest – but if you can manage quick kills on the regular Draugr then you might want to whittle away at those first. Use the usual ‘range’ and ‘charge’ tactics to kill the ice dragon – using fire attacks where possible.
Go southeast and move into the tower. The chests have a couple of decent items. Exit the tower – you’ll face two Wights – these are quite difficult, so try and use range attacks where possible and counter strikes. Go up the stairs and you’ll come across three archers and a Wight. Get rid of the archers first and then use range and counter-strike against the Wight. Go into the temple.
Watch out for arrow traps on the left – use your shouts to get passed them quickly – you’ll come across some more Draugrs. After this you come across a puzzle.
Looking from the back of the puzzle, arrange it so there are three birds – this will open a door on the right with a chest. Then arrange them as bird – snake – bird and you’ll open up a passage downwards.
You’re about to enter a fairly difficult area – move down the opening and you’ll come across some spell-swords – make sure you have decent magical defenses ready – in the following room are two Frost Bite Spiders – pretty easy but they could poison you – so try avoid close contact and use range attacks if possible, charging in for the kill once you have weakened them! In the next room are two more archers and a stone puzzle – the solution is whale, snake, bird.
Yet more archers will attack you – but this should be no problem for you now. Head over the bridge going west and look for a spiral staircase. The enemy will light the oil on the floor so be ready to make a hasty retreat – once the fire has calmed move up the steps killing the undead you find.
Pull the leaver and head through the gate. You’ll come across the Draugr Overlord – he’s pretty decent and has a very nasty weapon. Make sure you’re well healed and be prepared to defend against his greatsword. Should be fairly easy!
Take the sword and claw – you’ll need the claw to find the code for the door – wolf, butterfly, dragon. You can learn a shot here and will also find a few potions – move left and go onto the roof – you’ll fight a couple of spell-swords and two Wights – your new Storm Call shout is useful here .
You’ll find another wight as you move east. As you move up the steps you’ll see a Nahkriin moving towards a portal. You need to head off the Nahkriin before he gets to the portal –if he closes the portal he becomes very powerful – so blocking him before reaching this (and the staff) makes it an easy battle – otherwise be prepared to have some powerful defense up and try and attack with ranged attacks dodging his magical attacks. Try and dash in and hit the Najkriin in between spells – he’ll still heal, so this is a battle of attrition. Once defeated place the staff in the marker and enter Sovngarde.
Congratulations – you’re one step away from finishing the main quest.
Final Quest:
yea i just tried that along with , butterfly dragon fox and dragon fox butterfly. and still no luck.
same issue here tyler :/
is there any system commands that can fix this
For the part where you have to trap Odahviing, instead of battling him, all you have to do is cast Dragonrend on him and wait for him to land. Then move backwards by the door and he will follow you, but make sure to keep using Dragonrend on him or he will fly about again
Its actually fox-butterfly-dragon. i just did the mission
When I was first doing the puzzle I couldn't get the left door open, but I loaded an autosave and it worked.
I also recommend using Mehrunes' Razor, its small chance of an instant kill, speed, and damage is perfect for this quest.
I'm having this same issue! I tried dying and it still hasn't worked. My game is pretty much stuffed if I can't open this door
If you want to keep the staff instead of losing it and never getting it, you have to stand in front of him and block him from getting it once he is one hit away from being killed let him take the staff out once he says some words kill him, then loot him as fast as possible then quickly jump in the light to teleport you will then have the mask and the staff. :D took me a minute to figure it out but that's how you do it, if I was you I would save it before you kill him in case you mess up.
how do yoo solve the1 puzzle
