While you can run through the game pretty quickly if you want, I would suggest that you spend a lot of time doing many of the side quests that you’ll find in each of the villages and towns you come across. Joining guilds and doing quests to gain rank will also be useful especially as the game gets tougher.
I have no doubt that some players will be able to complete the game without doing any sub-quests, but for an average player like me, these side quests are essential so that I can maximize my character before I reach some of the later challenges. I also note that these side-quests add a lot to the story and make the game even richer – giving you hundreds of hours of gameplay and allowing you to build up your character.
As you progress through the main plot each quest will become more difficult and complex – you should be developing strategies that use all of the weapons at your disposal – terrain, followers, weapons, ranged attacks and knowing when to run are all huge elements in combat and you will not succeed without them!

High on a tall mountain (near High Hrothgar) is the monastery of the Greybeards – find a path in town that leads up the mountain – make sure you are prepared and have plenty of potions ready – this is a long trail and there are many encounters. Although I didn’t meet a troll, I have read that some people have encountered a frost troll as you move up the road.
Once inside Angeir is doubtful of your claim to be Dragonborn – you’ll have to use ‘Unrelenting Force’ Shout to prove your claim – he’ll tell you about the Greybeards and begin to tell you about your destiny.
You’ll learn about the Shouts and how they are made up of three words. You’ll be taught your second word.
You’ll undergo a test where you have to hit targets with your unrelenting force – after three successes Borii will take you to the courtyard for the next trial.
You’ll learn one more word which gives you ‘haste’ – this will be used to get past the gate and complete the Way of the Voice.

you should have a dragon soul by now since you were called by the Grey-beards. If you on this particular quest you should be able to do unrelenting force and you should also be able to do the shout that makes you run really fast. You honestly can't do way of the voice with out finishing Dragon Born Rising.
just curious if this is a glitch or not... but in just the mages college alone, i've fought about 5 dragons... is there a set number of dragons or are they somewhat of a random event? i first arrived there once to find a dragon skeleton, one which i didn't kill... then it seemed almost every other time i fast traveled there, went inside then came back out, there was a dragon attacking... same has happened for a couple other locations, and i still only have the first two shouts accessable (other words learned) are they learned later in the story or am i stuck?
on the last one how to we get past the gate, i am holding RB but it doesnt do anything

ok i have the killed the dragon and got the unrelenting force. When i went to the monks i cant use it. Can anyone tell me why or what to do so can use it for the monks

There is a town near the throat of the world called Ivarstead, just outside of it when you approach from the way to Whiterun, there is a bridge. Climb the seven thousand steps and get in through the left door.
How do I use the whirlwind sprint mainly what buttons do i use
hi amm if I axidentaly hit a monk with my sword and now all monks wants to kill me and dont let me speak with the guy, what i have to do??
u have to push unloch on ur shouts
nothing works i think i must start all over again T_T

so i have learn 13 shouts and out of that 13 shouts i can only use 7 of them, but the seven are them shouts you learn during that story line, can anyone help me out in how to use my other 6 shouts??
How I can use the unrelenting force shout??? pls help me..
press B, then go to magic, then scroll down to shouts and select unrelenting force, the little arrow will appear next to the word force when selected. Then when you go back into the game just press RB and voila!
What are the targets I'm supposed to hit with my shout in hrothgar
