Prince William and Kate Middleton Wedding Merchandise
67Royal Marriage on Friday 29 April at Westminster Abbey
On April 29, 2011, Westminster Abbey will be the venue for another Royal Wedding. Prince William and Kate Middleton will marry in the same venue that saw Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother’s weddings.
The day, to be marked as a public holiday is a rare celebration for the Royal Family, and there’s a huge amount of Global interest in the event already.
The Royal Mint has already made preparations for the production of a commemorative coin to celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and many toy and doll makers are already preparing to produce their own Royal Wedding Merchandise in time for the spectacular event.
If the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Katie Middleton is anything like the previous weddings which became hugely popular worldwide, you will see a vast array of quality merchandise available. Items that are likely to be available are:
- Replica Engagement and Wedding Rings
- Commemorative Stamps
- Royal Wedding Books (and books about the couple)
- Commemorative mugs, cups and tea-sets
- Royal Wedding Tea Towels
- Royal Wedding Dolls – you’ll probably find that the initial dolls will be ‘speculative’ as it’s not likely that the wedding dress is going to be fully ‘announced’ until it is seen on the wedding day – so the best dolls won’t be available until after the event.

- Royal Wedding Videos – again Videos and DVDs will not be available until after the wedding.
- Food – there’s no doubt that the food industry will try and cash in on the wedding and you’ll be able to get items like William and Katie wedding cake etc.
These are some of the items that may become available; I will search the web and provide links once I find some decent merchandise. But for now, just enjoy the speculation!
One word of warning though, there are many unscrupulous companies that will create inferior products and charge exorbitant prices for Royal Wedding merchandise. My advice is to try and get official merchandise if you can, or at the very least order from a reputable company such as Amazon.com.
I also note that if you click on some of the ads or buy some of the products from this page I may get a small commission – I have no affiliation with those that make the products and do not personally know Prince Harry or Katie – but I’ll let you know if they send me a personal invite to the wedding!
