Where can I buy Rock and Roll Bobbleheads
73Rock and Roll Bobble Heads
When I first began to get serious about music in the mid 70s, my music tastes were quite diverse. My first 45 (for those who don't know, a 45 was a single that played on a turntable at 45 revs per minute) was a Bee Gees song, my first album was The Carpenter's greatest hits, and my second album was Saxon's Wheels of Steel.
As I began to discover my love of music bands like Queen and their amazing Bohemian Rhapsody struck a chord in me and I found myself gravitating more towards progressive and soft rock with Rush being my lifelong favorite, and bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Gary Moore (RIP) being main influences in what I listen to.
That's not to say that I don't like Vivaldi's Four Seasons, rap music and dare I say it country music but rock has been present in my life for at least 30 years, and this is no doubt influenced by my father who used to listen to The Beatles and other influential rock bands of the 50s and 60s.
For my favorite bands I like to buy collectibles; I have a room in my house dedicated to memorabilia and have some stunning hand drawn pictures, figurines and concert memorabilia. One thing I really love is buying lifelike 'dolls' of my favorite stars.
There are some pretty amazing dolls available, but my personal favorites are bobble-heads! I went to a Rush concert a few years ago and was amazed to see on stage three little Bobble-heads in the shape of Neil Peart, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. They were amazing and I wanted them!
I guess this is what started me thinking about how bobble-heads can immortalize your favorite stars, whether they are musical, tv or even political stars! Be careful though, once you start buying it can become addicting!
I note that you can no longer buy the Rush Bobble Heads, but they have introduced a Bobble Head pin - click here to go to the item in the official Rush store!
