Hottest men in Hollywood

Choosing participants for my Hottest men of Hollywood list was extremely difficult. Do I go for all of the hunks, and believe me there are enough hunks to fill several websites, or do I look for the dashingly good looking men? Well what I did was to look at the top stars and see what qualities they had, and from that produce an list that is amazingly varied and eclectic.

You may not agree with my list, and indeed you’re welcome to add your choices in the comments section, but these are the men I think can be considered the Hottest men of Hollywood at the moment.

Hugh Grant

There’s something quaint about Hugh Grant that almost puts you in mind of his namesake Cary Grant – he seems to be very humble and yet so dashing at times. Despite his recent ‘indiscretion’, he has pulled through and remains one of the gentleman ‘hunks’ of Hollywood – his boyish good looks endears him to a lot of young ladies.

Jude Law

Jude is one of my favorite British Hollywood stars – he’s got just the right balance of good looks and brawn, but also has superb acting ability and seemingly is a decent chameleon. Like many of the British actors he has a reserved British charm that adds a lot of sexy mystery to him!

Johnny Depp

I really don’t know why I am writing anything for Johnny Depp, you already know why he’s on my list! For me it’s the combination of his amazing sultry looks and his ability to take on any character that make him intensely hot – he does happen to be really handsome too, so that does help!

Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks is one of those guys that creep up on you and suddenly grab your attention. He’s not particularly muscle bound, and he’s not overly handsome, but he’s never lost that innocent boyish look that makes him very endearing! However, once you get close to him, and see his talent and intelligence shining through you suddenly realize that he is hot in a whole different way to most Hollywood stars. He’s hot because he’s not pretentious; he’s good looking, funny and comes across as a great guy – his talent is huge and this makes him a well rounded hotty.

Tom Cruise

Well it’s hard to define Tom Cruise. Is he a hunk? Yes and no. Is he cute? Yes and no. Is he strange – well OK YES! Tom Cruise has a killer smile that transforms his face from boyishly cute to something that is almost angelic. While he perhaps isn’t as hunky as Brad Pitt, there’s something indefinable about him that make you forget his flaws and focus on the many positives he has.

Brad Pitt

Oh my, what a hunk! This all-American boy perhaps is the only true Hunk of my list. His dreamy looks combined with his chiseled body make him a perfect hunk. What is surprising though is that despite his brawn, he also happens to be a pretty decent actor, and doesn’t always have to rely on his muscles to make a great movie.

Jack Nicholson

He may be old, and he may be past his prime, but Jack Nicholson still has a charm and charisma that is often contagious. More-so, there’s a glint in his eyes that can only be defined as evilly humorous that really enhances his on and off the screen presence. It’s this combination of charm and experience, with the glint of evil that make him very compelling and very suitable for this list.

Matt Damon

Well Matt Damon seems like a really nice guy, the kind of guy you’d like living next door – he has a charm and a humor about him that is contagious – however, once he dons his character, he has an intensity and passion that is extremely sexy and hot – and he fully deserves his place in the hot men of Hollywood list.

Samuel L. Jackson

What can you say about this man? He’s one mean ‘m#@!@# f@@#@!’, to coin a phrase. It’s this pure manliness that transforms him from a normal looking man into a godlike superhero. It’s the whole package that makes him stand out as an older hunk – the attitude, the on screen presence that dominates, and the sheer power of character – he may not make everyone’s hotties in Hollywood list, but he’d come and beat me if I didn’t add him to mine.

Jake Gyllenhaal

What is it about this guy? For me he’s a normal looking, almost geekish guy that somehow exudes hotness once he enters character! Just take a look at Prince of Persia and you see a dusky handsome man, with muscles and brawn, who could sweep any woman off her feet – then look at him when he appears in public and you almost ask ‘Who’s the geek’ – as an aside, it’s normally those geeks who are actually hiding hotness below those glasses!!!

Jason Statham

Yikes – this guy is pure action hero – all brawn, all good looking, and no brain – well he is actually an intelligent guy, but his on-screen personal is all sexiness and action – he’ll reach the top ten list of any Hot men of Hollywood list and truly is one of the hottest men around today!

Chris Pine

To follow in William Shatner’s shoes is not easy, but Chris Pine managed to capture the on-screen charisma of James T Kirk and infuse his own level of action and humor. His good looks, and general action type brawniness gave him an inherent sexiness that exuded from the big screen – watch out for him to remain on the Hot men of Hollywood for a long time to come.

Daniel Radcliffe

This ruffled, unkempt young hero showed far more than a Harry Potter cuteness when he tackled the difficult play Equus. His school boy good looks are slowly being replaced by a dark sullen handsomeness that should keep him in work for a long time to come – as he showed off in Equus, he also has the makings of an action-hero hunk!

Rupert Gint

This is probably the most surprising actor on the Hot men of Hollywood list. As I’ve watched him grow in the Harry Potter Movies, he gone from an awkward funny looking teenager and has emerged as a young man who has a lot to offer – he’s not amazingly handsome, but there’s something about him that transcends this and makes him a hot young man, who will probably bloom into one of Britain’s hottest stars in the future.

Robert Pattinson

There are quite a few stars from Harry Potter who will grace this list in the future, Tom Felton being one, but the only one who has really grown up aside from the two main characters is Robert Pattison. While he only had a bit-role in Harry Potter, his dashingly good looks and his athletic physique landed him the lead in Twilight and has catapulted him to one of the hottest men adored by teens all around the world – I’m sure as the year’s go by, he will remain one of the Hottest men of Hollywood.
