Rush coming to Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero and Rock Band have re-invigorated the video game market by bringing an innovative game that not only is extremely fun to play, but also re-introduces many of the classic 70s bands that have suddenly, thanks to these games, become more popular again.

Rush, one of the best progressive bands around, and arguably one of the greatest live rock bands have embraced this new multemdeia experience and many of their songs have featured on Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

As a huge Rush fan I have been overjoyed to see their music reach an entirely new generation, and it's amazing how many times I see Rush songs appearing in movies aimed at the tyounger generation.

With other bands like Green Day, Kiss, The Beatles producing music oriented games, it seemed inevitble that Rush would eventually succumb to this trend and produce their own Rock Band or Guitar Hero game.

With Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, Rush's 2112 album features heavily as it forms the basis for the quest mode which tells the story of how a guitar is found and how rock music is discovered and played. With Narration by Gene Simmonds, Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee, this section of the game, which has similar theatrical elements as Brutal Legends, promises to be one of the most fulfilling career modes of any of the Guitar Hero games.

I wonder if any kids who try Guitar hero actually develop a love for music and learn how to play real guitar?
