Final Fantasy 13 HInts, Tips and Cheats

What? You’re looking for cheats already – but the game only came out on March 9th, 2010.

I’ve been playing the Final Fantasy games for years and have had much quality time playing these games with my daughter. Over the years there have been some very good Final Fantasy games and some very poor one. This game is definitely better than the last couple of games and has amazing sound and graphics; it has a pretty indepth levelling system and also incorporates a new item leveling system.

It is difficult at times, especially for newcomers to the franchise (and genre), and some of the battles require the right strategy - the use of paradigms is very important at times.

Suffice to say that as soon as I am aware of any cheats, hints, and walkthroughs for the game I will post them on here – so bookmark this page. I note that historically Final Fantasy games have not had cheat codes, but there are always ways to ‘fiddle’ the system. There are always waltkthroughs, and mostly there are methods on how to beat the bosses - as these become available I will list them!

About Final Fantasy XIII

The story

In a world of tranquility in the sky, where its habitants knew only peace and paradise, the inhabitants were blessed to have the fal’Cie as their protectors. On the world of Cocoon, all was soon to change once a hostile and evil fal’Cie was discovered.

From the lower world of Pulse, this fal’Cie awoke and evily cursed the human inhabitants of Cocoon, changing them into servants wielding magical powers.

Thus starts the battle….

First impressions

Well as can be expected from Square Enix, the game looks amazing – the graphics are truly stunning and the gameplay looks as solid as ever. While some of the characters names are a little dubious, the attention to detail remains and it’s obvious that the plot will be detailed and mysterious.

As with other FF games the player has the ability to summon allies – these come in the form of Eidolons, and allow the player to perform attacks from the back of special characters increasing damage etc.

I have to admit that I was disappointed with the last FF title as it seemed to lose a lot of its character and perhaps was aimed at a younger audience, however this game definitely seems to have more of an edge to it and from the demos I’ve seen seems to rely on a more traditional FF combat scheme, rather than some of the more recent ‘attempts’ to update the system.

What stands out so far is the quality of graphics that seem to be more than simple cut-shots but are prevalent all through the game – I cannot wait to get my hands on this game and see if my first impressions are right!

Hints, Tips and Cheats

Currently I have not found any cheats for the game, but I am sure some will surface over time; below are some general discussions on levelling up, and some tips on the paradigms and battles. Book mark this page as I will continue to add strategies as I go on!

General Tips

Note I will add more tips as I find them so bookmark this page!

Easy CP

Find the two Behemoth enemies fighting at the Gran Pulse. Once the pre-emptive strike happens:

  • Use Attacker/Enhancer/Enhancer as your Optima setup
  • wait until you get hast and fire elemental offence then switch to Attacker/Blaster/Blaster.
  • Kill the purple one first
  • Go back to the save point and they will respawn

You can get a lot of easy CP this way.

Eidolons

There’s no doubt that one of the most important aspects of Final Fantasy games is the ability to be able to summon very strong ‘monsters’ into your party – each version of FF has done the summoning slightly differently and FF XIIi is no different.

IN FF XIII you gain Eidolons by defeating them in battle – as these battles are part of the script you will not have a problem fighting them – you also cannot gain them early.

Once you have the Eidolon you can summon it in combat using ‘techniques – summon’. This will cost you tactical points though, so in many cases you should really wait for a lull in action before summoning.

Once summoned, you will ‘lose’ the rest of the party. When summoned they have their own version of hit points which depletes over time and is reduced by damage – once this is reduced to zero they disappear. You do not control the Eidolon, but should continue the battle with the summoner as normal.

You can use the Gestalt mode with Eidolons – probably best when their hit points are low – this gives you some very powerful special attacks on the bottom right of the screen – these are good, but I found them a little confusing to use at times.

I’m not quite sure if I like using the Eidolons – it disrupts my party and early on they don’t really add that much to the battle – later on you will probably need them though!

Chrystarium System & Character Leveling

I’m not a big fan of leveling up in any FF game, but the system in FF XIII is one of the better ones.

It’s a fairly linear process, and as you start you’ll only have access to three paradigms (or classes – see below); there are plenty of enemies in the game so you should have no problem get high levels in each paradigm before more become available.

It’s hard to say what the best method is; there are some pretty powerful abilities in the original paradigm but they become more and more expensive to get (using CP) – so it’s a balancing act between gaining low level abilities in the new paradigms, or gaining the high level abilities in the old paradigms. My preference is to ignore the new paradigms and get the best of the old paradigms.

There are plenty of choices in each paradigm, and you can even skip some of the lower abilities and concentrate on one branch to get some high abilities – it really depends on how you play the game and what you want to focus on.

I’d focus on Medic just to get the boost in HP; some of the later enemies are difficult and staying alive can be hard if you don’t have a high HP.

Weapons & Weapon Leveling

Like most FF games there are plenty of weapons to chose from. Strangely you can upgrade and level up weapons. Sometimes you need a special item to continue leveling you weapons. I have to be honest that this isn’t one of my favorite aspects of the game – with the new system it seems to make you choose one weapon and stick with it – I preferred to constantly change weapons as I leveled up.

Having said that, you can get pretty powerful weapons this way. It seems the best thing to do is stick with a weapon until it is at its max, and then in lessor battles use different weapons - eventually you'll have several maxed weapons.

An explanation of the indivual roles that can be assigned to a Paradigm in Final Fantasy XIII:

Commando

These are your warriors; they do the most damage and use mostly physical attacks. They don’t books the gauge of most enemies, but stabilize it giving you time to charge your ATB meter. The commando is a great ‘staple’ character to have in your party – but be careful not to have more than one as the AI will get confused and target different enemies – I tend to try and concentrate on one enemy at a time to reduce the number of enemies quickly.

Ravager

Ravagers are your magic users – the use elemental attacks. They have some pretty powerful attacks and can spike the chain gauge of enemies, however their damage will cause the chain gauge to deplete very quickly.

I tend to use one with a commando for best results.

Medic

As mentioned before I always have some Medic abilities, and it’s probably good to have one or two characters as dedicated Medics. They can dispel status effects and also raise ‘dead’ comrades – this combined with other healing abilities become very important as the game goes one.

Sentinel

The Sentinel is an interesting paradigm; the key use of this is to get the enemies to focus their attacks on the Sentinel so that the rest of the party isn’t damaged or interrupted. Sentinels reduce the damage they take.

The Sentinel has limited attacking abilities, but using them to divert attacks more than makes up for this.

Saboteur

One element of FF XIII that is very important is the use of status effects on the enemies. Use of abilities such as slow are very important in this game especially when facing large numbers of enemies. The Death spell is one of the most deadly attacks in the game, and a powerful Saboteur becomes very important in some of the latter encounters.

Synergist

The synergist is similar to the saboteur, but instead casts beneficial spells on your own party. I didn’t particularly like this character though and it seemed to work better to slow the enemy down than add boost to my own party. I am sure there are times when they will be key, but they are probably only for one-off battles.

Battle Strategies

  • Always have a Ravager and a Commando – the two complement each other;
  • Use the AI – it’s far better than most games I’ve seen – you can macro manage and do everything manually if you want, but the AI generally heals when required and always seems to attack logically.
  • Scan – I never used this in previous games, but you really need to find the weaknesses of each enemy – this also helps the AI figure out what the weakness of the enemy is and the AI will use this information.
  • Stagger enemies – focus on one enemy, stagger it and kill it.
  • Know the Paradigms; also know when and how long it takes to switch as it does take time and it can be tactically important.
  • Use the Sentinel – this is one of the more important roles as it allows you to divert ‘killing’ shots that would normally lay a member of the party out; a strong sentinel can distract this attack and give your party time to cast defensive spells.
  • Don’t forget about the Synergist and Saboteur – the status attack is very important, and occasionally adding boosts to your own party becomes very important. Unlike other FF games, you sometimes cannot complete battles without their assistance.
  • Forget about the Eidolons until later in the game – they really don’t do much more than your character can do.

Full Review

Final Fantasy XIII takes a slightly different approach than recent FF games; although Ligthing is the primary character, you end up jumping between different six different characters and thus have a multi-story going on.  Some will find this approach annoying, but with the use of decent flashbacks, it’s not too bad and game play isn’t too badly effected.

The plot in FF XIII is probably one of the best I’ve encountered; it switches between two worlds but also explore the dynamic between the humans and the fal’Cie; the characters and mythologies in the game are extremely well done and the whole seems to work very well, tying in the multi-story aspect of the game very well.

One thing I’ve always complained about in FF is the battle systems, it’s changed more times than I’ve had hot dinners. FFF XIII is no different, with a pretty complex system. I’m not going to go into a detailed explanation as there are many sites that will explore this, but there are a few elements that impressed me:

  • A gauge fills with ‘segments’ during combat – each action takes a certain amount of segments, so with decent planning you can end up doing a lot more action.
  • There is an attack queue system, thus allowing you to create a strategy and not have to implement it step by step.

I’ll discuss other aspects of the game and system in other sections on this site.

The game features the expected high standard of graphics and the sound quality is pretty incredible at times, with some of the best voice acting I’ve come across. What really makes this game better than many other FF titles is the way the battle system adds to the tension and pace of the game.

One aspect of the game that many will not like is that initially the game is very linear – this has been a problem with much of FF in the past, but I really was hoping for a far more open ended game – it’s not a major problem as the plot is decent, but it just doesn’t give you much scope to explore. I have been told that it opens up a lot later on in the game, but I would have liked to have seen the whole game like that.

Overall FF XIII is a very good RPG; it is fast spaced, difficult at times and for those who like to delve into characters has a very complicated battle and leveling system. It has a great story and some decent characters – it obviously has the best graphics for a FF game and it’s worth buying just to see the amazing detail in the game.

It’s probably aimed more at a mass market than the traditional FF fan, so it may disappoint a few, but overall it is enjoyable.

Im very happy with the game and the only let down for me is the character switching, im a big final fantasy fan and I believe that the best system was the battle style and leveling up of FF10. but, other than that, this was square enix's best game so far,,, cant wait for the next one!!!!

Lay: I agree - the character switching can get a little annoying but it is a very addictive game and with the great graphics it is probably the best yet

Cloud 2 years ago

FFVII was the best in the whole series!

Mitchamigo 2 years ago

I've been playing for a few hours and it visually stunning and the fight system is unique and well worked.

The only thing that is really bothering me right now is how linear it is. I hope to god there comes a time where there is a world map and I can go where I want. How much I like the game really hinges on this aspect and if it hasnt got it I will be really really disapointed.

I want an rpg not a fantasy action game. Anyone shed some light?

Eric 2 years ago

Yeah, once you get to Pulse it opens up all the way... Pulse is HUGE too... so there is PLENTY of extra game play there and side quests too!!

Cheeky Girl: yep it's already out on the XBOX! from what I hear, the graphics aren't quite as good - but still!!!

I have only just become a Pulse L'cie and im adjusting to the new ff, i really don't like the battle system as it confuses me and i keep losing my character and i prefer to control all character. I also find it hard to keep an eye on my characters health, however, the graphics are stunning and some features are awesome, but, im rather let down by this one. I prefer the big world maps, and towns, villages and i have heard they aren't on ff13. I'm hoping the game opens up and begins to get more enjoyable. I personally think the next ff need's to be optional on how the battle system is, so you can have it like e.g.: ff7,ff8,ff10 or how it currently is in ff13. Does the game get better?

SimeyC Hub Author 2 years ago

Tyler: yes - after about 20 hours of game play you get to pick your own party and it does open up and allow you to explore a lot more! I agree that I do not like the fact I only control one character in combat - I really like the idea of being able to choose the combat system though!

Tyler 2 years ago

Thank god :) i was really dreading it not opening up and can you choose the team leader and fight with that character?

Yeah i thought so too :) lol

I am currently in Chapter 11, at the tower. There is a great opportunity here for easy leveling. The main thing about this game and leveling is that the game will only let you level your characters paragims to a certain point. While you can collect Cyrstalarium Points until your eyes start to bleed. In chapter 11, at the Tower, Level 2, you will be asked by 3 statues to complete 3 tasks in order to proceed, You will first complete these tasks and be allowed to move on to the next level. Once done, go back to the save point on Level 2, next to the Elevator looking thing. Go down to the first floor and come back. All the characters on this level are regenerated. If you destroy all of the enemies on this level, then move up to level 3, kill all the enemies on this level, and then work your way back, and kill all the respawned enemies and get back to the save point, you will collect a little short of 60,000 C-Points. Save, go back down the elevator and back up and do it all over again. It probably took me about 20 mins to complete this and start over, after about an hour my characters were fully leveled for this point in the game (not including the 0 level Paragims, Does anyone know if its even worth it to level these?)

So far- Loving the Game, great graphics on the PS3. Heard the XBOX versions graphics weren't as good but the game is so good so far I doubt it matters to much to the XBOX players. As the story progresses in this chapter you easily see the open-endedness of the game for later. The sub-quests look infinate, and is a great nod to FF12's Side Quest feature. Also a great nod to FF10's sphere grid.

Good to luck to everyone playing this game.

Kenneth: thanks for that tip - it took me ages to 'grind' extra experience...that tip will come in handy for a lot of people!

Thanks Kenneth, i think im almost there so that will be a great help to me :) Also i have the XBOX 360 Version and the graphics are still stunning but i agree the game is very good it doesn't really matter :) and SimeyC it has now opened up and im used to the battle system. It really is a great game :)

im stuck on cid , im maxed out on lightnings weapon ,lvl 25 on fang, lvl 15 hope and the rest are about lvl 7-12, whats the best way anyone? .by the way i dont care what anyone says this is a great game ,im a ffx nut and i think this will grow on the critics in time.

ryan 2 years ago

Its such a pain that i wanted Fang to be my main character and that she would be a good ravager, but in the end it took ALOT of CP farming but she now knows all the ravager spells :)

Weddle 2 years ago

Fang is not a ravenger. she is by far the best comando. best ravenger is lighting.

If u go to the top of that tower there is a battle with i think 5 of these gladiater things. there like gold nights. u can kill them and rub=n back up stairs out onto balcony to respawn them. that is the best leveling spot u will have got to so far. think its on like level 6 or 7 of the tower.

Another good leveling spot, when u first get to pulse, just run straight across the map ignoring everything, accept maybe some treasure spheres. at the end of the map u come to a cave, run through this cave and back again about 10 times, killing everything u c, and this will very quickly set u up for the rest of the game.

and if your really into grinding levels, the best best best lgrinding spot in the whole game, is on chapter 13, right at the end of the game. u go up a lift and up the top is a jabberwoky and bander snatch. there prity easy to kill, just caste haste on all and then use relentless assault, and change to diversity when u need to heal. any way the fight takes like 2 minutes max, when u get the hang of it, and it gives u 32,000 cp, and some drops that can be sold for some nice profit, 12,500 and 6,000gil. go back down the lift and to the save point to respawn the buggers. :) hope that helps all u level gringing bitches ;)

Jimmy 2 years ago

I have lightnings weapon on lvl 61 and hopes on 47 and snows on 26 and im still going up lvls and im only at the grand pulse ara

Jimmy96 2 years ago

this game is really good but i still think that ff7 is still the best

Weddle 2 years ago

jimmy jimmy jimmy, lol, ffvii is not the best. it is very good. but it is not the best

Jimmy96 2 years ago

weddle your nuts i think its the best one but thats me and about 50,000 other ppl think the same

Weddle 2 years ago

50,000 people are wrong, lol. is jimmy96 and jimmy the same person? your using lightning, snow, hope, then u should switch snow for fang. snow is the better sentinal but fang is awsome as a comando. my fang is doing 99,999 damage while light only does 45,000.

Jimmy96 2 years ago

weddle i think i will try that out and see what its like. Thanks i never thought of that

Jimmy96 2 years ago

when do you get the GILGAMESH,INC shop?

Weddle 2 years ago

Gilgamesh u get from the fault warrens. So not until u complete the game. Although u can prob get it on first trip to pulse, i'm not sure. Def from fault warrens though cos just got it myself:-)

The Game Is Awesome YEH

I know That I Enjoyed it

It Does Open Uhp In Pulse But Only For A little.

Bafore Heading Back Into Its Linear State

The Eidolons Are Great But You Dont Need Them That

In The Start As You Said But Can Be A Great Help Later On

The New Battle System Can Get A Bit Confusing If You Dont Understand It But It Is A easy thing when you are able to use it effectively and use your paradigm switching at the right time and effectively. The thing For this game is that the bosses can be easy the onli thing is they have thousands of life which just makes it long thats all.But still it is kewl. I reckon That Sticking to the old paradigms of your

characters is A good thing because changing uses heaps of your cp.Cp farming is also a great way to EARN cp.In Gran Pulse make sure you do your ceith stone missions as special rewards will be given owt.Leveling up your weapons can be a noncence btu you get use to it.This also allows you to level up your acssesroies which is kewl becoz then if you have a bangle you can up the hp it gives you.

I love the story becoz it is an emotional story although confussing at times.rEAD THE DATALOG IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF WAHTS GOING ON)It is very vibrant and flows but it sometimes losses the plot. The characters are a great bunch and have a unique personality and diiferrent storys to there adventure making it kewl. The graphics are absolutely amazing and the level of detail they created in the worlds and towns was just awesome.I loved the how they made Cocoon a planet floating above another planet 1 thousand times bigger

and how they crafted the world of gran pulse was absolutely gorgeous i hope that this keeps up.

All in all it is a great game and is a 9/10 game

I finished the game and now I am just exploring and leveling

Up . I was shocked at first at how linear it was but its all good.

I found this ff was Much more challenging when it came

to bosses not all of them but the summon fights were all

challenging accept Alexander. It was clever how they done

the leveling system and I will explain why I like it.

Don't get me wrong I loved ffx it was one the greatest and

the sphere grid was great but let me explain the problem. I savagely

farmed Exp on that game and didn't realise how strong I became

until I went to fight sin who was meant to be the monster that tortured a whole World for 1000 years and I demolished him seriously it wasn't even funny but it felt nice. Now in ff13 they took that away you have to finish it at least once before the boss becomes a 1 hit kill because you can only level to q certain point.

You r correct. u can still level a bit though, and grind a bit of cp so that when u do get an expansion to the crystaleriam, u can fill it staright away./ thanks for coming.

somebody1129 24 months ago

don't you guys know about the growth egg it doubles cp exp it is simply amazing, and you can get gilgamesh anytime in the fault warrens all you need is a chocobo, and you can get their

Weddle 23 months ago

Yeah I think I already mentioned Gilgamesh in the fault warrens. And yeah your right the growth is kinda accentual if u wanna max levels without going insane:) get the growth egg and go to the silt warrens, keep heading left left left left left, this gets u loads of expo and loads o cash. It's the cash that's the killer in this game. So hard to get. Best way is on a chocobo.

FieryRagnarok 22 months ago

Um realy hes kinda stupid on the Edions thing they do help alot...... like when u first use Snows Edion when you use his finish it does 10,000 dmg and normaly you would have to stagger the enemy get the % ratio to about 500 then you are still only able to do about 1,000 even after you throw them in the air with the camando skill

priscilla 22 months ago

I just found out something really interesting. If you completely upgrade the Doctor's code accessory and then

dismantle it you will get a Fortisol, a Aegisol and an Elixir which you only get it once in the game at the last stages and I had not seen it anywhere else. Cool stuff!

I have to say that this game is awesome. I was at gran pulse, then my ps3 broke, lol, i lost everthing too. Oh well. more play time i guess. and for those of you who say FF7 is the best, u r crazy right lol. loved it

the game is awesome, no doubt. but i think its just a little too much of a movie

Raeku 21 months ago

i think this is the best ff so far... the game can be a challenge at times. ive found that i dont use syns or sabs much but i sometimes contemplate if i should. im on gran pulse at the mo and i seem to be getting between 0 and 3 stars for battles. i tend to use a paradigm of two ravs and a com mostly but also use a paradigm of a rav a com and a med for those desperate times. and i also use combat clinic. i was wondering if there were and good triks to getting better star ratings as im finding the fact that i get low stars annoying as bosses seem to take me twice the estimated time to defeat aswel. barthadelus especially. ive grinded before bosses until my crystarium is maxed and ive got maxed out accessories and levelled up weps... if not tht much levelled up.. PLEASE HELP ME... PS THIS GAME ROCKS.

ff13 is cool game, but i feel like the ff series is kind of stagnatin, i liked the older ones better, i hope square gets a little back to the roots for the next ff

steve 19 months ago

I have played the entire game yet, but i'll give the graphics 10/10 , music 10/10, Story 8/10 (made more sense reading all the datalog than the actual audio dialogue). But the characters themselves are completely immature and the though the voice actors do a good job, the dialogue they read is total garbage, only lightning resembles an actual human while the rest are like mentally challenged. Hope so far seems to have forgotten his lines, all he seems to say at the beggining of the game is "um.....errrr.....grrr...." - Sheesh you call this good? havent any of you people played mass effect or dragon age : origins, thats how stories should be told!

Im hoping somewhere in this game that the characters will stop acting like the brady bunch, personally i'd just being a one of the damned L'cie than having to be followed by vannille or hope.

QuanTheDon 18 months ago

I've played FF13 to the point where i have 5 of the roles completed for each character. I can help out some of the people here.

After you clear the Fifth Ark, you will be transported to Pulse. This is the "optional quest" part of the game pretty much. Very few enemies are easy to beat at this point, some are possible to beat with a preemptive strike and most are just plain impossible.

Probably the best chance you have at upgrading your equipment is in Oerba right before the 2nd fight with Barthanduleus. Its a side quest in which you go around Oerba to find parts to upgrade Bhakti, Vanille's robot. If you get all the parts and have gone 10,000+ steps around Pulse when you return to the robot, youll get components worth about 430,000 Gil. This could easily max out at least three characters weapons (2nd Tier).

@Alex - The Neochu gives you the Growth Egg, not the Rajiktava.

That huge tortoise creature with the horns (the Adamanotoise?) may seem very threatening, but there are two ways that it can be easily (or easier than usually) defeated.

Short Way

-Before you approach the creature, make sure you have three TP (four if youve never used libra on it before). Go to Battle team and make Vanille the party leader. Use Fortisol and Aegisol before the battle, then approach it. Right when the battle starts, summon Vanille's Eidolon, Hectoncheir. The creature's legs will instantly go out and itll fall to the ground. Now switch to Evened Odds (or a paradigm with Vanille as a Saboteur). If you havent used libra on this creature, use it now. Now use the auto feature until it's inflicted with at least 3 debuffs. Now you can send the Eidolon back. Your allies should be back now. Now have Vanille cast Death until the creature dies. There's only a 1% chance of it being successful, but with Vigilance on Vanille, Curse on the creature and Vanille with the Belladona Wand (or its upgraded versions) your chances will increase pretty well.

Long way

-Before you approach the creature, make sure you have three TP (four if youve never used libra on it before). Go to Battle team and make Fang the party leader. Use Fortisol and Aegisol before the battle, then approach it. Right when the battle starts, summon Fang's Eidolon, Bahamut. The creature's legs will instantly go out and itll fall to the ground. Now switch to Evened Odds (or a paradigm with Fang as a Saboteur). If you havent used libra on this creature, use it now. Now use the auto feature until it's inflicted with at least 5 debuffs. Now Switch to Relentless Assault and just keep attacking. Pretty soon Bahamut will leave and (whoever else are your active members) will return. Just keep attacking and sooon it should be defeated. If the chain gauge is nearly depleted during stagger, use fang's highwind. It deals a lot of damage, but resets the chain gauge.

Um thats all for now if any body needs help I can be more than happy to help.

Just began Chapter 11. Barthandelus can be pretty difficult if you let him be. pretty much you have to survive long enough to stagger him, after taking out his armor pieces, then (I had Light, Hope and Vinielle) have Hope and Vinielle both healing to heal quickly. this should keep you alive to continue to stagger him again and eventually taking him down.

question for everyone else. Is it worth upgrading the Axis Blade? I've been saving since I've obtained it and I'll be really upset if its not worth it.

I proclaim this game the CRAPPIEST I have ever played on the xbox360. I'm very near to chucking it in the garbage. I PAID big $$$ for a game....NOT a movie. 23 hours so far...and OF those 23 hours, 10 were just REPLAYING the tough levels (barthandelus took me 5 solid hours to beat)and 11 were sitting back WATCHING a movie and the other 2 were pushing the A button and LEFT bumper. TOTALLY devoid of game immersion (watching the load screen occupies HOURS. TAKE NOTES from Bethesda (oblivion) to see what a REAL Roleplaying game should be like. The Japanese just dont get IT.

Cheater_1: games like Oblivion and Dragon Age are far more immersive RPGs and definately are more rewarding to the hardcore RPGer - FF XIII is pretty decent, but it's never going to satisfy a real RPGer. The problem you have is that you have the XBOX 360 version, which sadly isn't as good as the PS3 version. Sure the repetition and the large amounts of movies is annoying, but FF has always been that way and they still sell millions - so they won't change it!

I'm sure you're RIGHT. Kind of like don't BUY a golf game if you want action. RPGer FF is not. The only things THAT stand out are the graphics and music. TOP notch. Now, if they just knew HOW to make a video game, they might triple their sales.

By far the worst ff ever by a hell of a long way, yeah great graphics and sound but plot, battle system, characters and everything else is absolute rubbish not to mention vanilla is the most annoying character in the world!!!!! DO NOT BY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the most badly written article I have yet to find on the interwebs.... Seriously if your going to write for the world to see, at least have a basic grasp of Literature and grammar.

Hmmm Damien 'if your' - surely you mean you're? perhaps you should look at your own writing before critisizing others. I accept I am not the most articulate writer, and if you can point out serious flaws in my writing I will be happy to fix...

This is a definate win for the final fanyasy series. but my opinion on the best final fantasy game hasn't changed and probably won't. ff10 and ff10-2. But this is a defenate boost from ff12

Early CP Grinding Trick: When you get to Hope's home in the heights, don't just try and move through the story. Once the PSICOM grunts make it indoors, just keep circling the loop in the house, they re-spawn instantly when 'their section' is out of sight for the characters. Fights can be over in as little as 18 seconds (my best time, thank you) and with luck, net an incentive chip around 18% of the time (same for credit chips) and is worth 2,500!!!

Another great spot is the Ark... Just keep running from one end to the other, (over and over and over again) do it for about an hour and you can stock up a barrel of cp and interesting goodies for leveling up equipment.

One place you can grind into is the Mah'bara Cave.

You just have to go back and forth and kill Hoplites and those Ice bombs.

Got me about 100,000 CP per hour and about 50,000 GIL (Due to the Bomb Core drops)
