Final Fantasy XIII-2 Bosses

Final Fantasy XIII-2 was released on January 31, 2012. As I work through the game I will continue to add boss battles, and also do some additional research to provide as much information as I can on other boss battles. So far the battles are relatively easy and the same techniques that served you well in FF XIII will work in this game too.

Many of the tactics you've used against the Final Fantasy XIII bosses are likely to work against the bosses, depending on how much they've change the paradigm system. From what I have seen so far and read, there are more strategy elements to the combat system but overall it's simply a tweaked and updated version of the orginal combat system within Final Fantasy XIII.

What will the bossed be like in Final Fantasy XIII-2?

While there are a couple of videos out (see below) there really isn't much being leaked about the bosses you are going to meet in FF XIII-2. What is interesting is the plot involves you finding Lighting, and the journey is one of space and time, so there may be quite a few surprises and guest appearances along the way!

Whatever happens you know that the boss battles in Final Fantasy XIII-2 are not going to be easy, and it wil be essential to make the best use of the paradigm systems. Suffice to say this article will list the techniques that give you most success.

From my prior experience of writing boss guides I note that you should take a close look at the comments for this artricle and associated articles - quite often I find other people come up with different and often better methods.

Please boomark page - more bosses will be added!

Chaos Bahamut

The first boss battle is pretty simple. Lightning has many different ways to finish this battle. If you must, use Protect and Shell at the beginning and then use lightning or simply shoot the boss.

The only real thing to worry about is to watch your HP as Bahamut can deliver a few nasty attacks.
