Cheap iPads on eBay

Apple have always been innovative and with their ubiquitous iPod line have proved how to deliver a decent product and how to market efficiently. With the iPad they have done it once again and challenged a market in which they were a year behind and brought in a product that not only does a good job, but out performs any of the existing products.

While the Kindle and Nook are excellent e-readers in their own right, the iPad has taken the whole e-reader concept to a new level introducing a far more multi-media approach to the genre. Not only that, but the iPad features the ability to use many of the Apps that are available for the iPod Touch or iPhone, thus giving the user far more than the traditional e-reader.

However, the iPad is expensive – millions of people around the world are look for cheap iPads, and believe it or not there are a few places where you can get discount iPads. The best place I have found is eBay – while you really have to look for a deal, there are some people who bought the iPad and simply don’t like it – if you can find these people selling their iPad on eBay then you may just get the bargain you are looking for.

It’s not easy and it does take dedication and work to get the deals, but if you are patient and don’t mind waiting for a couple of weeks then you can find an pre-owned iPad for up to $200 less than the advertised selling price – beware though, there are thousands of people searching for the same thing, so strategic bidding is important – always try and wait to bid until the last minute or second if you can do it – that way it’s unlikely that someone will trump your bid! Don’t be disappointed if someone beats you, just move on to the next one!

The other thing to consider is that when Apple introduce an upgraded iPad a lot of Appleites will sell their old iPad and upgrade almost immediately, so if you can wait six months you’ll probably find even more bargains.

Another thing to consider is that there’s no doubt that with Google working on a Droid Tablet, Hp and Dell working on their own Tablets there soon will be more competition so the price of the iPad is likely to move downwards over time – also if you are only looking for an e-reader, then don’t spend the extra money on getting the iPad, just get the Kindle.
