Christmas is expensive at the best of times, and this year with a down economy many people are trying to reduce their spending. However, if you have kids it’s always hard to reduce Christmas spending. One way to do this is to buy cheap Wii games for Christmas.

The only problem, like most consoles, is the price of the games - the top games cost about $50 and in this economy not many people can buy many games. This is why I turned to eBay - it's surprising how many games you can find on eBay – not only that, these Wii Games are cheap, and make an ideal Christmas present.

I’ve picked up many games, including Tiger Woods Golf for less than half price, and what is even better is that once I’ve finished the games I’ve then been able to sell the game. As an example, I bought Tiger Woods Golf for $28 and sold it for $24 – so when you add shipping the whole game cost me about $7 – I kept the game for three months and thoroughly enjoyed it.

You can buy cheap Wii games online from many sources including craigslist, but I find that with eBay I tend to know that the seller is real and I usually only buy from well established sellers. You should also check out Amazon as they occasionally have sales.

The cool thing about the Wii is that there are games for all generations. I used to be the only gamer in my house, but once we bought the Wii the whole family became interested – even my 84 year old father-in-law who loves the bowling game that comes with the Wii.

My wife is more interested in the silly games, but also has begun to use the fitness games that are appearing. So far, her favorite is Wii Active, but she does like Wii Fit for the Yoga. Myself, I play a variety of games, ranging from Golf, to games like Resident Evil that really get my adrenaline pumping.

Not only does buying cheap Wii games online for Christmas help me save a lot of money, but it also allows me to buy games that I perhaps wouldn’t have because of the price – I would never have bought Star Wars Rogue Squadron at full price, but managed to get it for $9.99 on eBay – I thoroughly enjoyed the game!

With over 50,000 games currently for sale on eBay for the Wii, there’s no doubt that you will easily be able to find some bargains – even if you do not have the console, there are many cheap Wii consoles available. So you can get the exciting Christmas presents without spending a lot of money!

Beware rogue sellers on eBay though!

The only thing I would warn you about is to avoid sellers with a low Feedback rating – eBay’s system of allowing people to rate buyers and sellers really gives you an indication of the honest sellers and it is important that you take notice of these ratings – as they say ‘Buyer Beware’.
